Opening wrong web site

When I enter a web site I get an unknown web site.

Ex. I try to enter CNN and it opens http://www.heavy.com/channel/85316.
I try to enter Apple and it opens
http://www.thedietlist.com/AppleCiderVinegar.html?b=6022&GCID=S15771x351&KEYWORD=apple+cider+vinegar

The only way I can enter the site that I want is by entering in Cached.

I tried doing a system restore but my system restore is giving me an error
message.

Please help! This is driving me crazy!

What is your antivirus and firewall ?
 
You have a hijacked Hosts file. I could spend my day teaching
you about that file, but Hostsman is just so much easier. When
you run it, update it and select "overwrite". It can also scan the
Hosts file for hijacks. It is the best.

This is the worlds best Hosts file manager, it does everything,
including automatic hosts file updating:

Here's a little help to get you started:


1. Double-click the tray icon and open 'Tools-->Options'

2. Set your options. If you need help, just ask.
a. Under "Import" check all boxes (except "Import but disable them")
Next to "Replace:" enter: 0
Next to "With:" enter: 127.0.0.1
b. Under "Update" set "Default Action:" to "Overwrite Hosts file"

3. Under the "Tools" menu click on "Flush DNS Cache"

4. Click the middle button on Hostsman main window, "Update Hosts"

5. Click the "Update" button.

6. Once done, under the "Hosts" menu click on "Delete Comments..."
a. Same for "Scan Hosts file..."

7. You're good to go!

8. The best feature is the "Exclusion List" ('Hosts-->Exclusion List...).
When you find a that website you know is OK but is blocked, enter
the address into the exclusion list. Now it will be removed,
automatically, on every update. Nice.
