opening .wps files with Word2003

Word in Office XP used to do it. Now 2003 doesn't
open .wps files...
How can I do this?

Mine does. You may not have installed all the text conversion filters. Go
back to Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs, select Microsoft Office, click
Change, and follow your nose to install all the filters.
