opening up a .xlr document with xp

I saved some .xlr documents from my home computer and
tried to open them on my computer at school. I have
microsoft xp here and could not open the document. What
can I do?

Those are Microsoft Works spreadsheets. You need to install Microsoft Works
to open them, or you can go back to your home computer and save them in a
different format.

I suggest that you first look at what Versions of Excel
are at the two locations. If one is newer you will have
to save a copy that the older version will recognize. Try
that and let me know.
