just tried that link and mine opened ok, try re-
installing OE, i seem to remember i had a similar problem
a while ago and had to do that.

the other thing it could be is to do with the new
security within SP2, try turning some of it off

Since install Win XP SP2, I cannot get URLs ( I receive via OE) that
end with a *.swf to open. IE opens but it shows in status bar it is
downloading from http://........................ But stays hung
there. This has happened on more than 1 occasion. Here is one I
recently tried: Click here:

ideas or help?

Are you sure you have the SWF player loaded? The link works fine for me and
I just installed the SWF player last week.

Ron,
I was wrong, MPlayer does not play swf files.
I downloaded the swf player you recommended, I've got Macromedia Flash
Player installed, it still will not play the swf at the URL I had in my
initial post.

Ron,
Found out that I wasn't giving the files time to load on my SLOW dial-up
connection. I tried with & without the swf reader installed and got 2 to
load though it took 5-10 minutes with swf reader or without. I'm going keep
the swf reader install file in case I may ever need it. By the way, you may
find this one interesting:

Took 10 minutes to load on mine.
