opening pics

why does xp ask me what program i wish to open a jpeg and
gif?
i do animations and this is gibing me grief.

i want mt pics to open as they did on 98...without asking
just opening.

You still need to decide what you want to open them with, but you can set
that as the default program so that you are no longer asked.

1. Right click on a .jpg file > Open With > Choose Program...
2. Select the program that you want to open the image with
3. Check the box next to "Always use the selected program to open this kind
of file"
4. Hit OK
5. Repeat steps 1-4 with a .gif file
