Donna in Idaho

I just added some quilt patterns to my website www.LinusIdaho.org. The
patterns are on the Pattern page.

I've received emails from a few that say they are only able to open one of
the patterns (X Marks the Spot). That one was created with Publisher, the
others were created with Excel. Would that make any difference? Or, is
something else causing this?

Can anyone shed any light on this problem?

Thanks.

remove the spaces from the file names, and use only lower case letters.

User may need to upgrade their version of Acrobat Reader. Also remove spaces (%20) from all folder
and file names.

I thought I knew how to set the PDFs to open in a new window, but maybe I
don't. Could someone explain, please? Using FP 2003, btw.

Select the hyperlink, then under hyperlink properties, set the frame target to New Window.

I had no problem opening all the links to the PDF files. (Using IE 6.0 - XP
Pro, SP2). Perhaps an updated version of the Adobe Reader is required by
your users? The files are pretty small, and opened very quickly for me, on
56k dialup.

Thanks for checking for me!

The problem is solved - thanks to all the helpful people on this ng.

Donna

Yes I realised that after I re-read the post/answers about removing the
spaces in the file names.
