Opening page with login and password in url?

Mark

Hi,

I want to open a settings page to my router and do not want to type my login
and password again and again.
With Firefox the following url passes the login and password to the settings
page: http://login:[email protected]/

Internet explorer does not work with this kind of url's (only with ftp://)

Is there a way to pass the login and password to internet explorer with the
url?
(or give iexplorer.exe some commandline parameters?)

Kind regards,
Mark

Hi,
You will be giving up a security enhancement and I'm not sure that this
registry edit works with XP SP2 (it probably does, but I haven't tried it)
but see the "How to disable" section neat the bottom of this MSKB article
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=834489

Hope this helps,
