Opening new windows

Yesterday my computer started to open new windows with
just a tiny window at the top center of my screen. Is
there a way of resetting this so it opens the windows
full screen like it always has.

If you talk about Explorer windows: drag one window to the desired
size, press and hold CTRL and then close the window.
 
The procedure that was mentioned will work for OE, IE and Windows Explorer.
Clicking File the Close does the same.
