opening new window

sometimes if i click on a link to open a new window, the new window appears
for a split second and then immediately disappears. for instance, if i do
"calculate postage" on ebay, the window appears and goes away. it doesn't do
this for every link, only certain ones. i tried the link to post this
question about ten times, then finally the window opened up to post this
question. anyone have any ideas??
 
Hi,
You probably have a program running which blocks pop-up windows.

This sounds, specifically, like the work of Ad-aware Pro/Plus- Adwatch- the
"Block pop-ups" feature. It sometimes allows a window to open momentarily
before closing it.
