Opening Movie is suddenly blurry

The opening movie is suddenly blurry in Rise of Nations. I think I've either
accidently deleted a Windows System filter or one or more video filters has
become corrupted.
I've checked and I suddenly cannot see "avi" or "mpg" video files either -
in Nero. But WMP still plays these fine.
What's up?

This is a C++ language related newsgroup.
You should ask in a windows newsgroup or perhaps a mediaplayer newsgroup to
have a decent chance of getting an answer.

Thank you Bruno. But could you tell me where I can find the "windows newsgroup"? The list here was practically endless.

Are you using Vista Mail? There's a search function in the newsgroup list.
For example, I find:

microsoft.public.multimedia.windows.mediaplayer
microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player
microsoft.public.windowsme.multimedia
microsoft.public.win95.multimedia
microsoft.public.win2000.multimedia

when searching for "media"
