Hi

I have a colleague who says that she is unable to open more than one window
in XP. Thus, if she opens 2 windows one of them closes down, where is the
setting for this?

Also, she can't adjust the size of an open window manually to the size she
wants. Thus, when she selects the 'restore down' middle button on an open
window it moves about a fraction of an inch. She can't adjust it to say
mid-size.

Many thanks for all your help,
Jeff

1) Open a window and click on Tools->Folder Options then select "Open each
folder in its own window" and click OK.

2) It sounds like the windows are opening maximized. When she clicks the
'restore down button' it actually works - thus it moves the fraction of an
inch. If it is working you should see the 'restore down button icon' change
in appearance from a double overlayed icon to a single icon. When this
occurs place the cursor on the edge the window and drag the window to the
size you want. Before you close the window press and hold down the Shift
Key. While holding the key down click the red "X" to close the window.

In WinXP itself?
She can't open IE and Notepad at the same time?
