Hello

Please can you help with the following:

When I try to open the local drives I get the "Open With" box which wants me
to select which problem to openthe local drive with. This only occures with
the local hard disks. The network, optical and removal drive works fine.

Hello

none of the fixes work and the problem still exists. Now when I double click
on all the other drives they were opening fine they open the search windows
insted of the explorer.

Try to Restore the System to an earlier date before the fixes been applied
then run the Disk Cleanup and open the run command then type in:
sfc /scannow click [OK]
Reboot your machine and see if that helped.
