I am using Outlook 2000. Recently, with I try to select items in my inbox for mass deletion with my left button (eg for spam), the items all open when I click on them one time, as opposed to the usual double click. This means that all of my spam letters get opened prior to deletion. Where can I select the number of left clicks required to open items? thanks, Jim

Does everything open with one click? Meaning Explorer folders and files as
well.

The funny thing is, not every email will open with just one click, just most. It's not all spam, some legit email opens with just one click. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but it makes it hard to delete items when they all open. Also, some memos and some calendar items open with just one click, but not all. On further investigation, some files and folders outside of Outlook open with one click, but not all. Any ideas? Jim F

Try replacing your mouse, sounds more like a hardware problem.
