How do I open each new website in a separate window? I like to listen to
streaming radio but if I want to browse while doing it I kill the radio page
when I open a new link.

I'm not very skilled at all this stuff. Thank you for any help you can give
me.

Hi Benedict - If you always want to open links in a new window, then go to
IE6|Tools|Internet Options|Advanced and uncheck "Reuse windows for launching
shortcuts". Otherwise, if you just want to do this on specific shortcuts,
then hold down Shift key while you click on the shortcut.

Thank you very much. This is a really good tip.

Jim,

I "suddenly" (in the last 3 days) am unable to open more than one IE window
at a time. Previously i could have multiple windows open; now no matter how
many I try to open, they overwrite the same one. I looked at the setting in
the "reuse windows for launching" and it was unchecked.... any more good
ideas?

If you have Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar, a firewall,
Earthlink (or another pop-up blocker) My IE2 (a shell for IE) etc.
Yahoo Companion is a very common cause.

You'll have to turn off the feature that's blocking new windows or, perhaps,
uninstall the program (especially uninstall Yahoo Companion).

With some programs of this type, using Ctrl+click or Shift+click will allow
a new window.

If you're *sure* that another program isn't causing this, these links may
help.

Thanks a million Frank. I found Yahoo Companion, deleted/uninstalled it and
voila, NOW I can open multiple windows again. You have saved me from
imminent insanity.
