Opening email in Outlook come to a crawl...

Has anyone encounter such problem which it takes 5
seconds to open an email and time taken to close an email
longer than 5 secs?
Other than that, closing outlook is also another heavy
task for the PC. It took up 100% of the memory.

Can anyone help on this?

Try Tools>Options>Other>uncheck "Enable Instant Messaging"
