Opening datebases

When ever I open a datebase in Access it has to load the application so I can use it, this happens everytime. I would like it to stop, anyone else had the same problem would certainly like to get an answer and sort this problem out

Are you familiar with the Access Runtime?

Or you could develop a VB project and compile to executable
if really want an 'independent' application
(that is, apart from the VB Runtime, that is )
