I copied pictures using the "Windows Pictures and Fax"
program to a CD. The people I sent the CD to don't have
that program. Is there anyway they can enable the
pictures to be viewed?

You can make your photo CD readable on any Window PC by adding an autorun
feature, so that when the CD is inserted in a CD-ROM drive a slide show will
start.
Go to the following site and download the free file Slide Show Generator:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp
Download the file in one of your folder or make a new folder for it.
Once downloaded, double click on it to install it.
Then, when you use XP and "Copy to CD" or "Send to CD" for photo files, the
wizard will ask you if you want to add this autorun feature to the CD.
Answer yes and three files will be added to the CD to make this works.

You cannot add this feature separately to an existing CD. You can add it
only while copying photos to a CD.
However, there is a way around this. If you have a CD with photos on it and
you want to add this feature, copy one more picture to it. Select a picture
and then Copy to CD. Insert your CD with pictures on it instead of a blank
CD. When copying this additional picture, the wizard will ask if you want to
add this feature. Just answer yes.
