Hi! I just noticed more problems with my C82. A small, clear-colored
hose has come loose from its moorings.. a thin black pipe about 1/8th
inch in diameter and about an inch or so long. I can't afford to have
it fixed by a pro. I even tried to connect it myself using long thin
surgical pliers..I can hardly see, and the area to work in is much to
small. My only hope is to pull the top off the printer. I guess it's
an industrial secret, for obvious reasons, but I would sure like to
learn how to do it now.

If you would rather send this directly, secretly, to my email, it is:

Thanks,

Mike

Michael,

You first must remove 2 screws from the inside. If you open the printer
as if you would install ink and look straight down into the printer
toward the very front of the printer (just on the other side of the
silver plastic front there are 2 screws one to the left and one to the
right. you must remove those screws... second, there are two screws at
the back of the printer toward the top on the left and the right -these
screws are to the far left and far right. Once you have removed those
screws, it gets complicated. There are several 'latches' inside the
printer toward the front left and front right, you can see them if you
use a flashlight. The last two latches are toward the back... if you
look on the outside of the case toward the back, near the usb plug but
not on top of it, there is a slit... you should be able to insert a
paper clip to push this latch... do this on the other side too and you
should then be able to remove the printer cover. Be careful though
because there is a ribbon cable connected that you will rip the hell out
of if you are not careful...

Keep me up to date on your progress...
