Hi!

When I open a PPT file from Windows Explorer, it opens a blank presentation.
I can then open the PPT file I want to open and view the file. However, I
can't open it directly by double clicking on the file. I tried on a
different computer and it opens fine on a different computer so I don't
think the file is corrupted.

I am wondering if there's a setting I can change so I can open the PPT file
direct from Windows Explorer instead of opening it after I open the PPT
program. I am using PPT 2002 SP2 on Windows 2000 computers. I made sure
the ppt is associated with PPT program.

Thank you in advnace,

Hi!

Thanks for the help!

I could not resolve the issue this way. However, I did fix the problem by
forcing PowerPoint to be the default application for PPT files.

I ran below and it fixed the problem.

Start - Run - Powerpnt.exe /regserver
