How do a get a new window to open up from every link. I am
actually clicking on links in Excel and would like a new
window to open every time so that I can read and write
information without licking around. But it always opens
the explorer window right on top of the excel one. I have
looked at all the options for both excel and explorer,
although I am sure it must have something to do with
explorer.

Thanks for your help!

I'm not certain this works in Excel, but I'm hoping it does, for your
benefit. If you hold down the 'Shift' key when clicking a link, it opens in
a new window. FYI, this also works when browsing folders on your computer as
well, 'Shift'+double-click ;)

I have found since updating a lot of software (cannot
identify source), may be new IE6 upgrade, new XP SP2, I
don't know what, but now instead of links readily opening
in a new window with a simple right click to a drop down
menu, I find that I have to hit the Ctrl key at the same
time I access the drop down window in order to open the
link in a new window. In fact... that is precisely what
I had to do to respond to your email too. Rather
annoying, but an easy enough fix to learn. So: Ctrl,
Right click, open in new window should get you there.
