Opening a New Window and Security

M

Michael

When you open a new window from an existing browser
session (Parent to Child) and then sign onto a secured
site like a bank, etc. on the child window, the parent
window stores this information. If I close the child
browser (without logging out), and select the cached link
(in History) from the parent, I can obtain an active
session from the child that was closed. Is this intended
functionality? Is there a way to prevent this from
happening?

Thanks!

Windows and IE is doing the remembering, not the parent window. To prevent
this, always Log Out of such a site before closing the window.
