I'm trying to issue a command from a program (FOXPRO) like this:

run ....winword.exe somedocument.doc /tsometemplate.dot

but I only get the document, not the macros in the template.
By reversing the parameters, I get the template but not the document.

Is there any way to combine template + document? K wamt to open a plain
ASCII text, and turn it into a DOC.

Word will open a text file as plain text, but based on normal.dot the
default template. It will become a word document when you save it as one. If
you wish to format the document with different fonts etc then you'll have to
do that after the document is loaded.
