Opening a .co.uk web using Frontpage 2002

I am trying to open a web that has a .co.uk extension (rather than a .com,
..org, .net, etc.) in Microsoft Frontpage 2002. I keep getting error messages
that the file can't be open. I spent over an hour with my hosting company
and they say they *think* it might be an issue with Frontpage, but they
aren't sure. If Frontpage 2002 can't open a .co.uk web, will upgrading to
Frontpage 2003 fix the problem? Thank you in advance for your help.

Kinda doubt upgrading will help. The .co.uk doesnt matter as long as you're
inputting the url properly.

What are you trying to open?
How are you trying to open it?
Does your website have FP extensions installed.

Post the URL to the website.

The website I am trying to edit is a brand-new one. My company is expanding
to the UK market:

www.doctorwhostore.co.uk

I have tried opening it by using the "Open Web" function in Frontpage 2002;
I've also tried creating a shortcut to new Network Place *and* I've tried
even creating a new Network Place. I have been able to log in using ftp
through Windows XP, but I have yet to figure out how to get Frontpage 2002 to
read a darn thing.

I even refreshed my Frontpage extensions twice just to make sure. I just
can't believe that Frontpage can't read a .co.uk folder. Any help would be
appreciated.

Sherrie :)

It should open the same as any other domain, as long as it has the FP extensions installed and
configured by the web host correctly.

..co.uk has nothing to do with not opening.

For one thing you have no index page, not even a temporary one, so all we
see is empty directories. There really isnt anything to open.

Don't use FTP or you'll wack the fp extensions.

Open FP on your local machine.
Open your web you created on your local machine...you created one right?
Then
File | Publish Web
here you'll enter http://www.doctorwhostore.co.uk
then Publish to your online server.

There's a temporary one in there now, with a .html extension. Does
your intended index page have a .htm extension?
