I opened a windome generated file (.DXF) from the open
with window using the Paint program and forgot to cancel
the always open with box. Now evertime I generate a dome
file for use in the CAD Program it dose not first reconize
the file because it is Paint ICON marked and not the
unknown ICON.
How do I cancel this so that the new files generated
areagain listed as unknown (.DXF) files.

Try doing this:

From an explorer window click on Tools...Folder Options. Click on the File
Types Tab.

Scroll down untill you find the DXF extension.

Highlight it and click on the Delete button.

Post whether it was successful or not.

Thanks It did work, but after I got to the file types the
DXF file type did not exist so I had to continue on to the
(NEW) and type in the DXF then on to the (ADVANCED) and
locate the UNKNOWN title. This left me with the old ICON
but then I went to the (CHANGE) an there it changed all of
them to the origional windows ICON.
Thanks Again
Donald
