What ever happened with the option to select "open with" by depressing
shift+right click that was available in win98?
Is it still available in winxp? It was a handy option that I miss....

I just did some experimenting based on your post and it seems that the "open
with" option is available only for unregistered files types.

Try Open Expert. A free program that adds an open with option to the right
click menu and is nicely configurable. I've been using it for years.

Hi Mark..Rightclick the file that you want to open. Use "open
with"...Choose the option to use a LIST of registered pgms to open your
file.

If you want to always use the chosen pgm then check accordingly.

Hope this helps...Doug
