Open thumbnail up in new window

I am trying to get my thumbnail images (in a picture gallery) to open up to a
new, smaller window, the size of the image. I can't seem to figure it out,
help!

Actually, I have installed Spawn, and it is great! However, my thumbnails are in a gallery view, and you can only select the entire gallery, not each individual picture. How do I create pop-ups in a pic gallery?
