open socket connections

i was curious, i use a chat program which lets me login about 5000 different
names at once and im told each one gets a "socket" .. so i would like to
know how many sockets does win xp have and is there a way i can view the
stats or status o f" sockets "

So with you lying about your identity and effectively not having one,
why should anyone bother talking to you? Sounds like a spammer trying
to slam chat rooms.
 
i aint trying to hide anything stupid person it a boot program get a clue
first before u jump or fly off the handle
