Is there any way to work in a single Outlook 2000 module
(e.g. Tasks) without opening the entire program. I know
that you can enter a meeting, task etc. from the Office
shortcut bar, but I would like to keep parts of Outlook
open for reference without using up the 17+ megs of resources.

Think laterally and find answers where others only see obstacles to
knowledge.

Try this. Not sure if it solves your memory problems - I haven't tested it.

When your Outlook is open, right-click on the module you want open. Click on
the pop-up menu item "Open in New Window". Close the main
(parent)programme.

And your memory usage will be the same...

Which doesn't do what he's asking. <grin> He wants to be able to use Tasks,
Calendar, etc. as a separate (smaller) application independent of the other
folders. Opening a folder in a new window just starts an additional
instance of Outlook with the new folder open.
