Hello and thanks in advance for any help offered. I'm looking for a way to
open a .pptx file via a web link and start the show right away instead of
opening the show for editing?

Save it as a .ppsx file. Keeping in mind that people with less than PowerPoint 2007 or the PowerPoint 2007 viewer will not be able to view your presentation.

Hello and thanks in advance for any help offered. I'm looking for a way to

Save it as a .ppsx file, link the .ppsx to the web.Know that people with less
than PowerPoint 2007 or the PowerPoint 2007 viewer will not be able to view
your presentation.
You can use PPT for Web
converter(http://www.flash-video-mx.com/ppt4web-converter/) to convert your
presentation to flash(.flv) or MP4 video format for uploading to the
website. No matter what version people are using, they all can see your
presentation video on the website.

loong, i've tried saving as .ppsx but it opens in design view just like the
..pptx does? i thought there would be a way in HTML to tell the link to start
the slide show?

So when the OPEN button is clicked on the file download prompt it's forcing
the file to open in edit mode? My computer is set up to display the slide
show and it works if I open the file directly but it doesn't if I open the
same file via a web link. There seems to be more to the problem than how the
computer is set up. If I'm going in the wrong direction please let me know
how to fix the issue. Thanks for all the input!
