Power point 2003. How do you open a presentation (.ppt) without opening a
blank presentation?
Every time I open a presentaion (.ppt), Power Point opens a blank
presentation . I have to close the blank presentation either before or after
I use the presentation I opened.
What are the settings to avoid this???

This should help. http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00528.htm

One is the "Ignore" setting in your head. ;-)

If you just start another presentation or open one, the blank one goes away.

I tried the link above to the command line switches. Can't figure it out!
Once upon a time I didn't have this problem but I don't know what I changed.
Can you help me?

I've tried the "Ignore" message for some time! However...when I open a
presentation, the blank one does NOT go away. It used to. :( What's the
secret?

Powerpoint 2003
(Alt + FC works but that's kinda more work then a single click to close the
blank presentation). Seems like there should be a setting for this
somewhere...

I was just going to suggest checking add-ins.

The blank presentation that PPT starts with should disappear when you open a
new presentation. So I'm wondering if something's "dirtying" that blank
starter file. If PPT thinks you've made some changes to it, then it won't
delete it. Doesn't want to lose your work, you know....
