open .POTX first instead of the blank document

I need to know how i can add my POTx template file to open each time i start
PowerPoint insted of the blank document which opens in PowerPoint 2007?
Please help

Does saving the potx as "blank.potx" do what you need?

In the Design tab, right-click the template and select "set as default
theme."
