Thinking of going over to OO. The only other thread I could find dated back to 2006 when everybody seemed very happy with it.

The only problem seemed to be spreadsheets with complex formulae. Has that improved over the last three years? That's something I need on my system and if it's not OO compatible it might just put me off.

Any coments from people still using it?

That's a thought. I see it runs till October and then.....

Users can choose to download the trial or buy the full version of Office 2010 at that time.
What does it mean by downloading the trial?

What does downloading a trial usually mean? :p

Download it, use it until the end of October and then uninstall it or buy it. :)

9.5 months free use of Windows Office 2010?

tempting?

Nope.

When Office 2003 becomes unusable it's Open Office for me, I only ever use the basics anyway which Open Office covers more than adequately.

I do have one exception though. I really like MS Publisher and use it a lot.

If that becomes outdated and unusable for me, I'll probably have to buy it :(
