When I click the Look In drop down in the Open Office Document dialog in
Office 2007 a message box opens saying "Initilalizing root folders for
display". This takes several minutes and often doesn't complete. However if I
select the "My Computer" icon on the left the folder tree opens immediately.
This alos happened in Office 2003 but without the message box appearing.
I'm on a corporate network with several mapped network drives.
How do I fix this?
Thanks.

Has your IT support been unable to assst you?
So you even have the rights necessary on the machine to repair such a thing?
Are you logging into a domain?

They were unable to assist me. I don't know if I have rights to repair it.
Yes, I'm logging into a Novell network.
