Hi JPA :-)
Where can I find the option that permits me to open a new
browser when I click on a link?? MS has hidden it again.
Try the following and see if it helps:

Open Multiple Windows In IE

To keep more than one browser window open at a time, click File in the main
menu, select New, then Window. To close a browser window, click the X in the
top right-hand corner or select Close from the File menu. You can also open
a new browser window with Ctrl+N.

Later, select the Programs and click the [reset web settings] button.

You may have a program running which is blocking pop-up windows-
something like Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, a firewall, Earthlink (or
another) pop-up blocker, etc. You'll have to uninstall the program or turn
off the feature that's blocking new windows.

With some programs of this type, using Ctrl+click or Shift+click will allow
a new window.

Hope this helps

.
Thank yoy for the inputs.

Let me re-define my question.
I know how to open IE and oiopen another window.
I do not have popup blockers on my system.
This is a NEW installation!!!
When I click on a link on a page, ANY PAGE, the window
opens in the same browser. There is a button SOMEWHERE to
enable a NEW browser window to open when you click a link.
Where is that option?

Sorry for the confusion, and I meant no offense. It would have perhaps
been easier had you have provided us wtih the version of Windows and IE you
are running in your original post. Under these circumstances, I tried to
provide as much generic information as possible. Also, even a new
installation can have popup blockers, such as included with SP2.

As to where the option is in your version, I'm afraid I don't know. Perhaps
someone else here would have a better guess.

Thank you for your patience, and have a very good day. ;-)
