Is there an easier way to open a new browser tab in Seamonkey ?
(Other than File, New, Browser Tab.)

In Firefox you just have to click the +.

On a side note....

I had a friend who had to cancel a credit card that had never been used.

Charges appeared in several countries that he had never been to.

It had a RFID chip in it.

I guess someone got the card number using a scanner.

I looked up RFID blocking sleeves.

A lot of companies make those protective sleeves.

A lady made a home made version using duct tape and some foil.

It was more effective than 8 out of 10 ready made ones. :-)

And what happens when you press control-t ?

And in about:config, use the search term "tab"
at the top, and you'll see things like

browser.tabs.opentabfor.doubleclick

and a few others. You can toggle those
booleans and retest, and see if that changes
the interface at all. The about:config interface
is very unforgiving - make a mistake in there and
you cannot back out. At the very least, *do not*
highlight an item in about:config and delete it,
as you'll have a devil of a time putting it back
later. A backup of the appropriate folder would
provide some insurance, before venturing in there.

You might want to check with the SM group:
mozilla.support.seamonkey
I use SM but don't like tabs so cannot answer.

Get a new wallet - most now have protective sleeves.

The answer is to open preferences and tabbed browsing.

And uncheck Hide the tab bar when only one tab is open

Then an icon appears to the left of an open tab which opens a new tab when clicked.
