When I open PP2k and/or a presentation, is there a way/setting to open in
slide show view instead of normal.
I work mainly in slide show view with screen window in left half of screen
and toolbars on right.

Not a big deal to adjust screen size, etc. but can't find if possible.

Thanks,

L.

Not quite sure what your asking. If you open in slideshow mode, there is not way to edit in that mode. The only other two views that you have are Slide Sorter, and Normal view, where you work in either the Outline mode, or Slides mode, if you have that pane turned on

Thanks for the info and add-in location. Works great.

Next question- is there a way to have the presentation screen (not sure
correct name) open in a different location and size?

Hmm. Not sure exactly what you mean ... try posting the exact steps you
follow to get to whatever view/screen/thingie this is and give us the
wording on the menus. That'll focus the mind. ;-)

I'll try and explain what I mean-- here goes...

When I open PP2k there is a "master" window/screen that opens, with toolbars
top and bottom. Yes it ask if I want to open/start a new presentation, new
slide, etc.
When I open a presentation already complete, another window/screen opens
with the presentation within it. This is the view/window/screen/thingie I'm
talking about.
I "normally" work in slide view where the small icons of the slides are in
the left panel and the selected slide I'm working on is in the right/larger
panel.
I'm trying to get the presentations to open in slide view, which the add-on
does, BUT it still opens in full/max view, taking up the entire
view/window/screen/thingie. I move this window/screen/thingie to take up
left side of screen and have "extra" toolbars in open space on right side of
screen. To do this I click on restore window which scales the size down and
then fit to screen size on left of screen to fit.

Hope the "focus the mind" worked!! That was work and I'm still not sure if I
did it!! explain that is..

Hmm. Sounds like one that Shyam needs to advise on ... there may be some
way of setting the amount of space allocated to each of the "panes" (notes,
icons, slide view).

Will await a possible answer. Thanks for your help/advise and making me
think..
Just saw the XP version of PP and I'm impressed. I may want to upgrade to xp
across the board, windows, office, etc.

Window/screen/thingie = "panes"... got it.
