Is this a bug or a new wonderful security feature?
As Don adviced. But in SP2, this functionality is available only if you wrap
the javascript code in a HTML with Mark of the Web option.
Unable to resize Internet Explorer window by using javascript: code in the
Homepage section, after upgrading to Windows XP Service Pack 2 ?:

Hi,
Find IExplore.exe. Right-click and drag it to the desktop. Right-click that
shortcut> Properties> Target. Modify the Target field to this
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE"
javascript:resizeTo(800,600)
Note the space between EXE" and javascript.
Hope this helps,
Don
