Hi,

Word // PowerPoint 2000

When you double-click an embedded Powerpoint object
(displayed as icon) inserted in Word it opens in slide
show mode.
Is there any registry setting you can change to open the
presentation in edit mode?
(no right-click)

In a Web browser you can change the key
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PowerPoint.Show.X
KB: 299824

Thanks
Christer

Hi,

Is you file a pps or ppt? The latter should open in edit mode.

If this were something embedded in PPT, you could probably rightclick the
embedded object and choose Action Settings to pick the action (Play/Edit) that
you want to occur when the shape is clicked.

Perhaps there's a similar setting in Word?
