Open desktop folders

This is a new problem that has just started. I don't remember doing anything
that would cause this problem but obviously I did something wrong.

When I double click a folder on the desktop it wants to open within an
application. The application was a picture viewer. I removed the picture
viewer from the computer and now the when I double click a folder on the
desktop the OPEN WITH dialog box comes up.

If I right click the folder the dialog box has an added line at the top of
the box. The new line is "browse with abc picture veiwer". ABC picture
viewer is the application that would start when double clicking a folder.

Maybe if I got into that dialog box that comes up when a folder on the
desktop is right clicked and remove the new line "browse with abc picture
viewer" the problem would go away.

That did the trick!!

Thank you very much.

You're welcome. To remove the additional entry "browse with abc picture
veiwer", you may need to do it via the registry (in most cases the File
Types dialog in the Folder Options will not let you remove the additional
verbs for "File Folders").

Manage the context-menu entries for files, folders, drives and Namespace
objects:
