Open Archive E-mail message

I am troubleshooting this message on a users Outlook mailbox and don't know
what to make of it.
There are four archive PSTs saved on Network Drive. Two of the four
displayed two different messages:
1. Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook cannot access the
specified folder location. The file \\servername\Users\archive2.pst cannot be
opened.
2. Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Office Outlook cannot access the
specified folder location.
The weird part about this is after I made note of these messages, I clicked
on the first troubled archive file and then the email messages appeared.
Tried it on the second one, but that was not the case. So I configured the
users Outlook on a different desktop, browsed to the two problem archives and
they both appeared fine with ease.
Is it something with placing them on a network? Does anyone have any links I
could read up on? Maybe I’ll have to make a copy of it to the user’s C drive
and leave a copy on the network drive.

Micrososft does not support PSTs hosted on a network share and you run the
risk of corrupting those PSTs if you do. Put your PSTs on your hard drive.
 
Okay. I'll put a copy of the PST file onto the users desktop.

I think that's ill-advised. I'd put it in, say, My Documents\Outlook Files.
It's too easy to forget what the desktop file means and it's too easy to
delete.
 
Oh, that's what I meant..I placed it in My Documents and created a new folder
for it. Sorry for the confusion. But thats for your help!
