I was sent a wb3 file and cannot open it with Excel 2007. Any suggestions
how to opent his spreadsheet?

Thanks,

Steve

wb3 are Quattro Pro files, and MS do not support their import into
XL2007. You could ask the person who sent it to you to save it as
an .xls file and send that instead. Alternatively, do you know anyone
who has Quattro Pro who could do this for you? A third suggestion is
that I think XL2003 could read these files - do you have that version
or know someone else who does have it? Finally, if you do a Google
search for "convert wb3 files" you will find a number of free
converters available.

Hope this helps.

Pete,

Thank you for your quick response. I ended up asking the sender to save the
file in xls format, and re-send. He did, and it worked fine with my Excel
2007.

I tried to look for a file converter download from Microsoft, but I could
not easily locate one that I understood.

Glad to hear that you solved the problem, Steve - thanks for feeding
back.

Microsoft don't do a converter, as far as I am aware - the references
I found were from companies or individuals who have done it for
themselves and have offered these as free downloads (there are some
that you can pay for).
