Marie,
You want to open a PPT on the last edited slide?
I seem to remember The OfficeOne Shortcuts Add-in has something, if I recall
correctly you can add a shortcut to a toolbar, which brings you to the last
slide.

If you want the show to start with the last slide, you could create a custom
show, select the last slide as the first to appear. Slide show - Custom
slide show - give it a name select your slides beginning with the last ...
...., Ok, close. Then Slide show - setup show - under show slides, select the
radio button custom show. Now everytime you start the show it will begin
with the last slide.

Is it possible to open a PPT on the last slide?

Depending on what you really want to do, the answer is probably yes.
Here are some thoughts:

1. Hide all slides except the last slide.
2. Put the last slide in a custom show and set the show (in Slide Show >
Set Up Show) to show that custom show.
3. Set the slide show (in Slide Show > Set Up Show) to only show the
last slide.
4. Use a hyperlinking trick to automatically jump to the last slide from
the first slide.
5. Re-order you slides so the last slide is first.
6. When you open the PPT, scroll to the last slide, and then hit the
Slide Show View button in the lower left corner to start the show from
the current slide.

These will all do what you want generally, but they each work
differently and will have different side-effects depending on what you
really want to do.
