if your using windows xp and he had the files before
installing anti spy simply do a restore back to before the
anti spy was installed

No, this will not work. System Restore does not restore user data files
such as MP3 files. Once an MP3 file has been deleted, it cannot be restored
with System Restore.

Using W2K, but I guess it makes no difference, should have used quarantine.
Would be nice to be able to restore in cases like this in the final version.

Maybe you should consider that possibly the person lives
in Canada where it is legal to download music online.
If you don't believe me, check it out.

Are you sure they were his? If he downloaded them from Kazaa, the RIAA may
send you a bill for that music. They are still rounding up illegal
downloaders on a regular basis.

OK All you righteous people. These MP3s of my sons were collected from
legal CD's, he was simply using the KZa platform to store them for later
transfer to Ipod etc. He wasn't connected to the Kza web, In fact I wish I
had'nt even asked.

Unfortunately, by using Kazaa as his transfer agent, he is also allowing
others to access those files through the Kazaa p2p file transfer
functionality.

iTunes exists in PC format to manage all your music files and transfers to
and from iPods.

Righteous has nothing to do with it - if the RIAA finds out that music has
been obtained from your computer through Kazaa, you will get a court order
and a bill for several thousand dollars. Just trying to save you some
trouble.
