One of the things they seemed most proud about when the released VB.NET
was that it was object orientated. Well excuse me but "who gives a
****".

Yeah .... dog is animal, dog has eyes, dog has bark.......

Yeah whatever - what a total pile of shite !

Show me a real world example. Very difficult I would say so, as most of
those that "talk the talk" never actualy need to "walk the walk".

Thats not true, I am just starting a discussion about the usefulness of
OOP, of which I am a sceptic.

As I expected, looks like Cor Ligthert can't "Walk the Walk". All
theory, no examples of usefull applications for OOP.

OOP is an acronym for Object-Oriented Programming.

Are you looking for resources to help you understand what
object-oriented analysis & design is?

Cor is quite right and has been walking the walk for the years I've been on
this newsgroup. To show you don't quite understand the concept, it is
possible to program in an object oriented way in C and Visual Basic 6 even
though those languages don't natively support concepts such as polymorphism
and inheritance. OOP is an approach to writing software, not a set of
language constructs, although there are many langauges now that do support
this way of doing things.

If you are struggling with the concepts, there are pages and pages of help
available if you google or go to the library. Perhaps you should open your
eyes to some new concepts and apply your brain.
 
Ahh but still no real world useful example. Just car = car, car has
wheels ****ing nonsence. ha ha ha.
