Ontrack pro data recovery software 6

I purchased this software after it showed me a bunch of files that I
deleted by mistake that it said were recoverable, I placed them all on
a different hard drive and to my horror none of the files and I mean
NONE work, they are all mp3's and none of the them work. Is anyone
familiar with this software and what I could be doing wrong.
