How do I code my presentation so the viewer does not see
the design, but rather the presentation goes directly to
the screen show?

Save the presentation as PowerPoint Show or rename the .PPT file as .PPS.
Note that this does not protect the show in any manner it just ensures that
the presentation directly launches into slide show mode.

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have the specific capability that you are looking for.
Currently, if you can open/view a presentation you can view it in edit mode
(not just slide show mode). Saving as *.pps is only effective when the
presentation is opened via the operating system shell (Windows Explorer,
e-mail attachment, etc.) and does not restrict viewing to only slide show
if the presentation is opened up using the File -> Open command (or task
pane).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide a way of restricting access to presentations so that they can only
be viewed in "slide show" mode, don't forget to send your feedback to
Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
