Hello,

(I hope, this isn't a faq)
I would be interested, if anyone have a pc (windows) (except the
operating system), on there are only open source programs installed.
Is this possible at all, to have the common programs installed?

What I know:
text writer: abiword
office: open office
web browser: mozilla
Editors: emacs, vi, jedit, j and some python (wxwindows/wxpython)
editors.

what I miss and didn't find :
graphic viewer such as xnview or irfan view
good Filemanager

best regards,

SCNR: no need to, use Linux/*BSD ... try Knoppix (www.knopper.net) to
see, whether it fulfills your needs - no installation needed, just boot
from CD and a full featured GNU/Linux System shows up...
what I miss and didn't find :
graphic viewer such as xnview or irfan view
IMGV is a cross-platform Image Viewer
http://sourceforge.net/projects/imgv/. Features include image
slideshows, zooming, rotating, wallpaper setting, abe to view 4 images
at a time, adjustable thumbnail sizes, playlists, view/save images on
websites, multi-dir loading, movies, and much more.
good Filemanager
there are a lot of web-based ones on sourceforge - do a search...
