only one window open at a time

This only happens on 1 particular computer of mine, but
when I try to open another window in internet explorer 6,
the previous window shuts down (or goes away). In short,
I am only able to have one window open at a time and it
is getting very frustrating. As I said, it only happens
one one particular computer. Is there a setting in tools
that will rectify this problem? Any help would be
appreciated. Please email if you can help. Thanks

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".
