Only one way networking between XP Pro and XP home

I tried to enable/disable guest on the afflicted PC per this group but still cannot get two way communication. I can get my files from my XP Pro, but when I try the reverse, I get a dialog box on the Pro that says my home XP needs an administrator to set permissions. This is with Guest enabled on the Home XP. When Guest is disabled on the home XP, I get a dialog box that shows the name of the PC on the first line followed by a /Guest. The 2nd line is for the password. I gave it the password I use to login in with , but doesn't like it. Is this something silly that I should probably already know? Thanks in advance for any help. make sure yor xp native firewall that you can disable on
your nic card is off
