I have a user running Word 2000 on Windows XP. Every morning this person
starts the day with a clicking frenzy. This seems to result of multiple
instances of Winword.exe running at the same time. This causes error
messages as one normally runs just one instance of Winword.exe and has the
one instance open all the documents you need.
So my question is, "Is there a way for Windows to allow only one instance
of a designated program to run at one time?" I thought the group policy
manager might work or some other registry switch. But I wanted to inquire
here before I search all of windows for an answer.
